> A new international chapter for ESSCA Junior Conseil.

In early 2024, ESSCA Junior Conseil launched its International Division with a bold vision : to extend the reach of our consulting expertise beyond French borders. At ESSCA Junior Conseil, we pride ourselves on delivering tailor-made solutions that reflect the specific needs of our clients. From March to April 2024, our collaboration with TomorrowLab, a Belgium-based consulting firm, marked a significant milestone as it became the first-ever international project conducted by ESSCA Junior Conseil’s International Division. This 5-week collaboration exemplified the potential of combining expert knowledge with efficient project management to achieve international success, testing our capabilities on a global scale and solidifying our place in the international consulting landscape.

> An exciting challenge : breaking into the French market.

TomorrowLab approached us with an exciting yet demanding mission : to assess the French market's receptiveness to a cutting-edge, biodegradable, and PFAS-free fire extinguisher developed by one of their clients. Our task was to identify and understand the expectations, motivations, and barriers of homeowners aged 30-65, ensuring the product would resonate with a French audience. We conducted 8 qualitative interviews with homeowners in Lyon, gathering detailed feedback and insights to support the product launch. Our goal was to provide actionable recommendations for TomorrowLab’s client's marketing campaign. Given the nature of the task and the tight deadline, the study posed a unique challenge that required precision, creativity, and coordination. From conceptualizing the study to its execution and final delivery, our team approached every phase with care and diligence.

> An innovative approach : structured yet efficient.

Our project management was key to making this project a success. By ensuring smooth coordination and clear communication throughout, we maintained focus and efficiency. Therefore, the study was broken down into 2 key phases :

1 - Qualitative Phase.

First, 4 consultants, Amélie, Clarisse, Léa and Matthieu, from first-year to Master's level, conducted interviews in strategically selected areas within Lyon. Each consultant interviewed 2 participants, gathering personal experiences and reactions to the product. Verbatim transcripts were provided to Tomorrowlab’s client at the end of each week, ensuring continuous feedback and adaptability.

2 - Analysis Phase.

Then, a Master’s level consultant, Justine, analyzed the gathered data, providing in-depth recommendations based on the interviews and raw data. Final deliverables included a comprehensive analysis report with actionable insights to guide TomorrowLab’s client’s marketing strategy. Through close collaboration, our team ensured that all valuable insights were shared within the agreed timeframes, paving the way for TomorrowLab’s client’s product launch in France.

The feedback from TomorrowLab was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the strengths of our approach and the overall success of the project. They were particularly impressed with our swift understanding of their client's needs, the efficient communication with our project manager, and the prompt delivery of the business proposal. The quality of our business proposal, the adherence to the study schedule, and the overall pricing were all key positive aspects mentioned.
